I'm going to disagree a bit. I think the sexy factor is detrimental to male politicians as much as females in the US. Rick Perry's brow isn't broad enough either. Gotta have something really special going on to look less than intelligent. While Putin can get away with sexy, I'd wager that the rumors surrounding JFKs extramarital affairs have pretty much neutralized being a viral, handsome man as benefitting a potential candidate.

Symmetry that falls short of model type looks is probably what we're wanting here, a pleasant-faced businessman who doesn't appear to have strong carnal appetites of any sort. Even being too physically fit is a drawback, I fear. Gingrich made the mistake of ruining his reputation with sexual excess. Otherwise he'd have the right look. And Ron Paul could maybe fatten up a bit, too lean and hungry giving the impression that we might starve under his leadership.

And that is exactly why America is toast, but we are the best country in the world at American Idol. Looks or not the only one I can vote for in 2012 (of those currently running) is Ron Paul, the others just represnt more of the same crap we have been seeing for the last 25 years. I sure wish Ron would have stepped down and let Rand Paul run instead, I think he would win in a landslide. Otherwise I am getting real close to becoming an agorist.
