Good luck with your tumor.

Excellent article, Selwyn. Your commentary is right on target. One would have to be brain dead not to recognize the significance of Sandoval's actions. It is, quite literally, frightening.

The past year has been quite hectic for me, and I was not aware of the Sandoval legislation. I have listened to him for years and regretably, with moving and my father's illiness, I have not been able to devote as much time to reading my favorite's commentaries, nor turning on the radio.

There have been a lot of people who have tried to bring Savage down in one way or another. And many will call up his show who are no match for his intelligence and knowledge of history who nevertheless, proceed like the buffoons they are, to castigate him in lieu of presenting any legitimate and opposing argument. Sometimes it's hard to listen to his show, not because of him, but because of the gene pool calling in. In fact, it can be really depressing. The mind reels against believing that there are a number of Americans walking the streets who actually do believe the way Sandoval does. They think nothing of screaming for the punishment of those who disagree with them, who do not speak as they think others should speak of things and other people. And yet the thing I value the most in people is their straightforwardness. It doesn't matter whether they like me or not. What matters is knowing where you stand and why. Not just with yourself but with others. And frankly, Savage echos my thoughts and feelings more than most men I've known and certainly more than most women. I'm afraid fascism has failed to indoctrinate me. I enjoy listening to and reading intelligent commentary from outspoken individuals. In fact, in today's world, I thirst for it. I can't imagine what life will be like in a fascistic world without the internet to touch, if only by reading, those whom I feel such a close affinity with. And I find myself wondering if being relegated to a life-long mental death would not be far worse than a physical one.

I gather from the comment posted, Prudence Goodwife might be the person far better able than you to answer that question today.
