Chris Matthews is definitely the kind of man who could double his I.Q. with one serving of fish. Here he is addressing Major Nidal Hasan's terrorist leanings and what could have been done to prevent the Fort Hood massacre and says "It's not a crime to call Al-Qaeda." Well, it may not be, but it also isn't a crime to walk around with a Swastika tattoo on your forehead. Yet I can't imagine that a person doing so would last long in the military.
The army is not the civilian world. There is and absolutely should be behavior that disqualifies one from service, and Hasan should have been court-martialed for being a man of Jihadist passions. Then he should have been watched . . . closely. As for Matthews, he's a good example of the intellectual vacuity that now characterizes the lamestream media.
